From ANDRAS JONES: MIRANDA LEE RICHARDS is one of the latest greatest surprises for Radio8Ball. She came to us as a volunteer replacement for the hard to pin down AMY RAASCH and spent the evening blowing our minds with her songs, her voice, her spirit, and her soulful interplay with SAMMIE SMITH and Ms. Raasch (who somehow managed to make the gig she couldn’t play). As I said in the course of taping, I’d actually seen Miranda play a show a couple of years ago and thought at the time how wonderful it would be to have her on Radio8Ball. It’s not an easy thing to explain to a performer after their show with people surrounding them so I let it go but that intention was somehow fulfilled, as is often the case, by synchronicity and patience. I’m looking forward to following this artist’s musical exploits over the coming years. Thanks to Miranda’s guests RAIN PHOENIX, HARPER SIMON, WAYNE JOBSON, MAESA PULLMAN & PETE MOLINARI who came into the studio to put their questions to The Pop Oracle.
