From ANDRAS JONES: Fans of the TV series Private Practice are having quite blast this season of Radio8Ball. A few months back we had KATE WALSH (who played the character Addison Montgomery) on the ANYA MARINA episode. And now we have PAUL ADELSTEIN who played the character Cooper Freedman on that show. Though Paul is an accomplished actor in series like Get Shorty and Scandal, he’s actually on R8B more as a musician and songwriter than as a TV star. Paul and our musical guest ZAK SCHAFFER have been making music together for a while in Paul’s band DORIS, and I found him to be quite sympatico in terms of musical tastes, both on this show, and later that week when we both performed at the XTC Appreciation Society benefit for Miry’s List. I’m looking forward to having Mr. Adelstein and/or DORIS back in season three to build an episode around his music, which you can hear an example of at the end of the podcast.
