From ANDRAS JONES: Today’s Pop Oracle session with BLOODY DEATH SKULL features a question from DR. CYNTHIA CAVALLI. It’s always encouraging when I meet someone who makes their living in the field of synchronicity. Someday I hope to be one of them. When I have one of these folks on the show it’s fun to hear their overflowing inspiration on the topic. It makes me think R8B would really benefit from a co-host instead of just having my internal masculine jockeying for time with my inner feminine but we make do with what we have until something better comes along. Although Cynthia chose to play her cards close to the vest in terms of the details surrounding her question there is one nugget she shared in an e-mail with me after the show that I hope she won’t mind my sharing with you. The book of speeches that fell on her was from Winston Churchill. Considering the cultural origins of the term and concept of nirvana, it’s worth noting the role Churchill played in enforcing (often brutally and with deep prejudice) English colonialism in India. What this means as far as Cynthia’s question is up to her, just as your interpretation is up to you. If it were my question, and I got the song “Nirvana” from Bloody Death Skull I’d definitely make sure to take measures to protect my head from the effects of colonialism, genocide and the gussied up nightmare of history.
