From ANDRAS JONES: KAITLIN WOLFBERG (with her friend DAYNA DREW) joined us for a musical divination with The Radio8Ball App in the shadow of Wild Honey’s Buffalo Springfield tribute. Kaitlin was the director of the string section. During this session I asked her, like I have asked most of the guests, who they would most like Wild Honey to tribute and Kaitlin was unequivocal, “Of course…Joni”, followed by a question about bringing down the patriarchy. Sing it sister!
That, and a conversation with Syd Straw, led to the Joni Mitchell Radio8Ball tribute we’re recording tonight with Kaitlin, Syd and several other members of the Wild Honey Orchestra, and a few old (and new) friends of the show. Stay tuned. That will be coming soon. For now, let us marvel at the exquisite and, I promise you, entirely unplanned sync that Kaitlin’s episode is dropping on the very day when her offhand wish, dropped in our cauldron of happenstance, is manifesting into, not exactly what she was asking for, but maybe just what we all need.
