From ANDRAS JONES: After yesterday’s session with one of HERMINA JEAN’s oldest friends we now get to spend a little time with one of her new friends. TRICIA OPSTAD is a speech therapist and the host of Missoula’s “Dance Church“. She’s also very funny. Listening back to this it sounds like Hermina and I could both use a little of Tricia’s dance medicine. Neither of us is that comfortable with dancing (publicly at least) and, speaking only for myself, I don’t imagine this block around something as human dancing with others is a hundred percent healthy. I remember times when I danced uninhibited but I can’t remember what made me stop. It’s like remembering being a child and running around naked without a care in the world. The memory seems as natural as it does impossible. This brings us to today’s randomly chosen Pop Oracle song from my band’s first record from 1989. The song may not have aged well and perhaps skirts a bit close to sexual harassment territory. I can’t tell if that’s its impact but the intent is really a call to wildness and freedom albeit from the point of view of a horny teenager.
