From ANDRAS JONES: CHRIS THOMPSON is a member of the Lodge 49 Facebook Fan Group who volunteered to join our session at the last minute when we lost one of our cast members due to a scheduling conflict. And he totally brought it. I was particularly amused and intrigued with Chris’s exploration of the codes displayed in certain screenshots from season one and asked him to hold forth in print for this post.
From CHRIS THOMPSON: There are two distinctly different codes used in Wallace Smith’s diary. One seems to be bits and pieces of an alchemical recipe using strictly alchemical text and the other is long lines of Linear A text. Personally I think it’s Linear A to explain where to find what is needed to complete the magnum opus. And the short script the ancient alchemical version of the same recipe. If this holds true we should see the quest for all ingredients in upcoming seasons which would most likely lead to the Island of Crete where Linear A language was born. My personal prediction. I wish I had more time to explain but I feel it may bore anyone reading lol! I know only a few would appreciate the obscure ramblings!
