From ANDRAS JONES: For our second Pop Oracle session with GREAT WILLOW (James Combs & Erin Shawn Hawkins) we get to know the family. Maybe we got to know one of them a little better than the other. Jamie Mayer is a screenwriter who is married to James (James and Jamie? Too cute) and the mother of Sander who reminds me a lot of myself at his age. I too was obsessed with the American revolution and came alive in the glow of whatever spotlight I was offered. This was our first kid appearance on the podcast. Back when we were broadcasting on Alternative Talk 1150AM we’d do an R8BKids episode about once a month with artists like Randy Kaplan, Ralph Covert and, mostly, Recess Monkey. Someday I’d like to revive that, maybe Sander can host it.
