From ANDRAS JONES: I’ve known ANYA MARINA since she used to play shows with my band The Previous at Java Joe’s in San Diego in the mid-90’s. Since then she’s carved out a nifty little career writing beautiful songs, turning them into exceedingly well-crafted tracks, and performing them at shows where she balances her comic insights with performances that speak to something deeper and darker. Anya’s been on the show a few times; on KAOS in Olympia; onstage with us at The Hayworth Theater; and (in this segment) on our AM broadcast at 1150 Alternative Talk in Seattle. For this session she invited her friend partner in podcasting, the comedian SAM MORRIL. They have great comicstry (chemistry + comedy) and after the heavy, confrontational, subtext laden and profane podcasts in this Radio8Vault episode I figured you could use something easy on the ears.
