Raina Rose
From ANDRAS JONES: We bring this visit to the Radio8Vault to a close with the fabulous RAINA ROSE (and a gorgeous rendition of the R8B Theme Song from Feisty Heart). Raina was a regular visitor to our show on KAOS in Olympia when she was based out of Portland, Oregon. She now resides in Austin, Texas. I didn’t realize until just now that we are ending this episode on a Portlandish theme. Anya Marina lived and recorded in Portland for several years. Ed Haynes is a longtime Portlander. And now Raina Rose, who I met when I was working for Mississippi Studio helping them to book acts like Rickie Lee Jones, The Negro Problem, The Moore Brothers and others. The first musical divination of this session is about a cat temporarily named Fleabag. The second is from a caller you may remember from one of our earliest podcasts, Erica from Baltimore. Erica began as a fan of the show and now she’s an invaluable member of the Radio8Ball team. There is a good chance you wouldn’t be reading or hearing any of this without her support so thank you Erica for everything.
