  1. The Pop Oracle song of the day from The Radio8Ball Show for January 28th, 2015 is the ACE of DISKS from our musical tarot deck, a song I recorded with my band Mr. Jones & The Previous during the LA riot/uprisings of 1992.

I don’t know how these Pop Oracle songs are for you. It all feels really personal to me. I hope you can find yourself in…

“Here Is The Earth” is a hopeful song from a more hopeful time. So much that is now dust and rubble was then alive and thrumming with energy.

I chose “Here Is The Earth” as the Ace of Disks in my musical tarot deck because it represents to me the true nature of the earth element, the earthly treasure of the living bodies of loved ones being together and making things they love. It’s the treasure none of us appreciates enough until it’s gone.

I’m heading back to LA, the birthplace of this song, in a couple of weeks. For those who reasonably scoff at Los Angeles for it’s craven exports, I know it’s hard to imagine Los Angeles as a soulful place full of artists risking everything to share themselves in the best way they know how, but that’s how I remember it.

  2. Wonderful! Hope to get to see/hear what you have been inspired by.
