This is where we begin. In the middle…of the beginning.
We’re at the Olympia Music Awards under an auspicious “super moon”. John Ford of KAOS presents the Audience Choice award for the Best Experimental Music Show to Andras Jones for Radio8Ball. This takes place live onstage at The Capitol Theater just moments before the only presentation of The Pop Oracle on that stage, and just a short of four years since Ford played an instrumental role in the removal of Radio8Ball from the KAOS airwaves for reasons that remain a troublesome mystery.
If you’ve read his book “Accidental Initiations” you know Andras has had a long and at first fruitful, now contentious, relationship with both The Capitol Theater and KAOS. These may seem like trivial, even petty, details but they provide important context for the musical divination that is featured in this, our first podcast for Feral Audio, with Chris “Sandman” Sand and Dino “Starburns” Stamatopoulos.
