From JOHN FAHY: In this episode I finally pipe up and join Andras and the Profiles boys for this Profiles In Synchronicity series. Andras gives his impression of our little Profiles In Eccentricity programme before I launch into my enthusiastic appreciation for Andras Jones and his acting work in Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master, which was truly a big deal to me as a kid. If you haven’t seen Andras in The Dream Master, I dare you to find a more charismatically cool performance of the era. I probably weirded him out and not for the first time (or last). I think every episode of the series featuring us has mention of sex magick.
Andras asks a question to the Pop Oracle, which is almost whether he should enact a really insane podcast idea, but ends up being, “Is Radio8Ball a work of genius?” The Oracle responds with the song, “Airwaves,” (by Bart Davenport) which Andras plays for us. The answer is obvious.
We get into Harry Houdini and the afterlife, act like idiots, and Andras tells us how much he likes our show…which is really touching considering I REALLY loved Andras on-screen as a youth. Andras was such a good interviewer and we had such a good time doing this series. The ultimate synchronicity is GETTING IT and Andras really GETS it, which makes us feel special.
