  1. “She will be here soon.”

  2. This is the perfect song to reflect the spirit of dejection! As my wise tarot teacher Pam often does in her interpretations, I find myself called to look at the card before and after this for further insight. I think especially because, when in a state of dejection and sorrow, it seems the only way out is to examine how you got there and where it is you want to go. It seems the very nature of what this card is calling for, which is to deepen our insights and perceptions of our purpose through the painful experience of our uncomfortable grief. The card before this is Peace- which is the calm before the storm. The card that follows is Truce which is contemplation, and stabilization through keeping still. This song references a lovely relationship that has ended and so coming from that peace full place to one of sorrow and dejection over what isn’t and will never be, we must sit and wallow in it before we are allowed to move on. Being in the stage of grief over any loss, we can only manifest change and growth by first allowing ourselves to be where we are. Of course being where we are is sometimes really, really lame. It is being in the disappointment. It is being in the broken. It is being in the throes of whatever is wrong with our current paradigm. So the key of the three for me today: be willing to see what is, as shitty as it is, so I can gain the clarity to move forward and grow from it.

  3. Great post… I’m feeling the sorrow coming through Greg’s voice and guitar playing. I like the healing reminder to see the 4 of swords … which in a favorite tarot deck is a figure in purple with bare feet on the ground in contemplation. The quiet contact with the earth heals the pain.
